Tampere is located in southern Finland some 170 km north of Helsinki. Both domestic and international travel connections to Tampere are excellent. The city is within easy reach by air, by land and in summer, even by water!
Flights in winter 2017-2018 & summer 2018:
In summer 2018 you can fly directly to Tampere from Bremen (Germany) and Budapest (Hungary) with Ryanair. Riga (Latvia) with airBaltic, Stockholm (Sweden) with SAS and Helsinki (Finland) with Finnair routes are open all year round. Please note that flight connections vary according to the season. Please note: in the winter season 2017-2018 Ryanair will not be operating from Tampere, but summer routes to Bremen and Budapest are opened in March 2018 again. There are several bus connections from airport to city centre.
Train to Tampere:
Tampere is easily accessible by train from all over Finland. Take a train to Tampere, and there are good connections to all over the city from Tampere railway station: timetables and prices
Bus to Tampere:
The long-distance coaches operate from the Tampere bus station, address Hatanpään valtatie 5-7.
